Introduction of kidneys:
First, you should have aware of your kidneys. Kidneys have a bean-shaped structure. These are two in number. These are located in lower abdomen on each side of your spine. The main function of the kidneys is to clean the blood. It also removes wastes from the blood and form urine.
It also called renal cancer. In cancer of the kidney, the cells grow vigorously and cause tumors production. When cancer cells found in kidney then cancer called renal cell carcinoma. These tumors of cancer can identify before spreading. It is due to the large size of tumors present in kidneys. These tumors can detect by different techniques but these tumors have to increase in their size to detect.
There are no known factors of kidney cancer. However, there are some causes known as the causes of kidney cancer or renal cell carcinoma. Age is a cause of renal cell carcinoma. It is due to the reason that this carcinoma is present in people having age more than 40.
There are other some causes of the carcinoma of the kidney:
- Use of certain medications for a long time to relieve pain
- Advance diseases of the kidney
- Genetic conditions which are certain
- Being black
- High blood pressure
- Exposure to certain chemicals
- Family history
- Having lymphoma
It is not necessary that you will have kidney disease when you have these types of factors. There are many cases when you have no such types of factors to produce disease but you introduce with the kidney cancer.
There are no symptoms in the start of kidney disease. However, symptoms show when the size of tumors grow and it starts to detect in a test. There are following symptoms in which some or all you carry in the renal cell carcinoma:
- A lump in your abdomen or your side
- Blood in urine
- Decrease in appetite
- Pain in your sides
- Fever that does not go for a long time
- Unknown weight loss
- Swelling in ankles or legs
- Shortness of breath
- Pain of bones
- Blood while coughing
When you have pain insides, it can cause renal cell carcinoma. Fatigue and weight loss can appear in this cancer. On the other hand, doctor diagnoses lump on your abdomen or your lower sides of the body. After the diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma, you should go through the tests and health history.
Stages of renal cell carcinoma
There are following stages of renal cell carcinoma:
- Stage I
- Stage II
- Stage III
- Stage IV
Many tests take place to diagnose kidney cancer. In some of them given below:
- Urine tests
- Intravenous pyelogram (IVP)
- Blood tests
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
- Renal arteriogram
There are many types of treatment present. In some of them can describe. Surgery is also a method for the treatment of kidney cancer. In this type of treatment, tumors removed by mechanical methods. However, many other treatments suggested by doctors after the surgery. It used to decrease the chances of production of the cells of cancer. Those cells are killed that can reproduce again and can cause renal cell carcinoma.
